DU invites suggestions on UGCFDU’s invites suggestions on UGCF-2022 Draft: Delhi University has invited suggestions on the recently released curriculum framework for undergraduate courses. University of Delhi’s UGCF-2022 Draft is based on the new National Education Policy 2022 and is a guiding framework for the varsity to revise its undergraduate courses for the way ahead.

Suggestions Invited from Teachers, Students, Academicians and Parents

To build a comprehensive framework to revise the course curriculum, the varsity has invited suggestions and feedback on UGFC 2022. All stakeholders, especially teachers, students, academicians and parents have been requested to review the draft framework and submit their suggestions on the same. The last date to send suggestions is 30th January 2022 by 11:59 PM. Why UGCF-2022?

UGCF-2022 is based on new National Education Policy (NEP) and will play pivotal role in aligning the curriculum with learning outcome-based guidelines. According to reports, the UGCF-2022 aims to align the curriculum of the undergraduate courses with the learning outcome-based guidelines. In line with this, several key changes are being planned by the varsity under UGCF -2022.

Key Changes Proposed under UGCF

Reports so far have hinted that, the University of Delhi is planning to revised the course duration of all undergraduate courses to 4 year programmes. The new four-year undergraduate programmes (FYUP) will allow students multiple entries and exit options during this period. In addition to this, the university also plans to introduce ‘Academic Bank of Credit (ABC)’ which allows students to store credits obtained in a course and resume studies from wherever they have left, from next year onwards.

In another change, the university is also going to change the admission process and criteria from merit based cut-off system to entrance exam based one. Delhi University will adopt Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) as a screening mechanism to shortlist candidates for admission to different UG programmes offered by the varsity.
