GATE 2022 Application Correction Window to Open from 1st Nov, Edit mistakes via GOAPS at gate.iitkgp.ac.in

GATE Application Correction 2022: The IIT Kharagpur, which has been entrusted with the task of holding the GATE 2022 PG entrance exam, will open the application correction window facility from 1st November. The application correction option or facility will continue until 12th November 2021, giving candidates a one-time opportunity to edit defective or incorrect applications. After this, registered candidates will be allowed to edit mistakes and make changes to their GATE application forms by logging on to the GOAPS portal via the official website i.e. gate.iitkgp.ac.in. Once the window is opened on the official portal, a direct link to the same will also be provided below; using which candidates will get convenient access to the GATE application correction website easily.

Application Correction to be Intimated to the Students

According to the latest update, the exam authority i.e. IIT KGP will provide the facility to correct or edit applications only to those registered candidates whose applications have been found to be defective or incomplete. Such candidates will be notified via SMS on their registered mobile number or email on their registered mail ID about the same before the application correction window opens today. Therefore, candidates are advised to be aware of this and look for any intimation from IIT KGP or GATE 2022 exam controller. After being intimated about GATE 2022 exam application form correction, candidates must access their application form and make the required changes.

Paid Changes to GATE 2022 Application Form

In addition to allowing intimation based changes to the GATE 2022 application form, the exam authority will also allow all candidates to change their category, paper and examination city as well. However, this option will be provided to the students on paid basis and they will be charged a certain fee charge for the same. This option will be available to the candidates until 12^th November 2021 and after this, no further changes in these three fields will be allowed by IIT KGP. Following the completion of the application correction window, the next major exam event in the GATE 2022 exam cycle is the release of admit card, which is expected on 3^rd January 2021. The GATE 2022 exam is scheduled to be held on 5^th, 6^th, 12^th and 13^th February 2021.
