Ahmedabad / Gandhinagar: Students of GSEB SSC Class 10 woke up to the surprise on the morning of May 29 as Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) declared the SSC Class 10th 2017 result before 7:00 AM in the morning. About 11,02,625 Class 10 students who appeared for GSEB SSC Class 10 exam conducted by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board can now breathe easy. As per the official press release, the Gujarat Board was to declare the GSEB Class 10 Results today i.e. 29 May at 8 AM. However, the Board has managed to prepone the announcement and has declared the GSEB Class 10 Results during the early morning hours. The Gujarat Board SSC Result is now available to the students online on different websites including gbse.org. Students can also visit gujarat10.jagranjosh.com to find the direct link to GSEB SSC Result 2017.
The total number of registered candidates in GSEB SSC Class 10th were 7,79,623 out of which 7,75,013 students appeared in the examination. Out of which 5,28,870 passed the exam with a passing percentage of 68.24%. The number of registered repeater candidates were 2,54,276 and 2,46,610 repeater candidate appeared in the examination. The total number of repeater students passed is 33,385 with a mere pass percentage of 13.54%.

This year, around 11,02,625 candidates had appeared for the Gujarat Board SSC Exam 2017. The Gujarat board had also arranged the examinations for 142 prisoners in the state. The GSEB SSC exams were conducted in the state from March 15 to March 25, 2017 with the first exam being a language paper of either English or Gujarati. In 2016, as many as 5.5 lakh students had taken the examination and 8284 students managed to do magnificently well by getting as high as 99 percent marks.

The grading process of Gujarat Secondary And Higher Secondary Education Board:-
The grades have been awarded in the subjects of Board Examination and School based Examination as follows :
Marks Range Grade:
91-100 - A1
81-90 - A2
71-80 - B1
61-70 - B2
51-60 - C1
41-50 - C2
33-40 - D
21-32 - E1
20 and below E2
To qualify in a subject, a candidate must obtain minimum of grade ‘D’. To be eligible for Secondary Certificate, a candidate must obtain minimum of grade ‘D’ in all subjects. Those candidates who have obtained grade ‘E1’ or ‘E2’ in the subjects of External Examination shall have to improve their performance through subsequent attempts and qualify. Passing standard for differently abled candidate is 20%.
Gujarat SSC 10th Exam: Previous Year's Statistics
In 2016, nearly 7,91,672 students appeared for Gujarat SSC Exam, out of which 5,27,113 students were able to qualify the exam. The overall pass percentage of Gujarat Board 10th Result 2016 stood at 67.6 percent. A significant achievement in last year’s Gujarat SSC Result was that more than 3113 students secured A1 Grade.
