Himachal Pradesh School Reopening News: As per the latest update, the School Education Department of Himachal Pradesh has issued SOPs and Guidelines for reopening of schools in the state. As part of the SOPs issued by the government, schools and other educational institutions outside containment zones will be allowed to reopen in a graded manner. As part of the guidelines issued by the Education Department of HP Govt, the guidelines issued earlier with regards to reopening of schools for Class 9 to 12 students for visiting of schools for guidance sessions with teachers, with written consent of their parents, will continue even now.
SOPs, Guidelines to be Followed by Educational Institutions
As part of the Guidelines and SOPs issued by the State Government, all students visiting schools or higher education institutions will be required to wear a facemask compulsorily, during their stay on school campus. Masks and social distancing is to be maintained while especially when in class or doing any group activity, such as eating in the mess, working in laboratory or reading in library. Schools will ensure and educate children not to exchange masks with others.
ePTM to Convey Precautionary Measures
As part of the process of reopening of schools, all schools and educational institutions have been asked to convene an ePTM i.e. a virtual Parents Teacher Meeting. The ePTM is to be held with students and parents between 15th to 17th October, in which all the necessary precautionary measures and guidelines will be conveyed. During ePTM, students’ achievements during first term online exams and Har Ghar Pathshala initiatives like weekly quiz and remedial teaching material would also be shared with the parents.
Har Ghar Pathshala Programme To Continue
As per the revised guidelines issued by the School Education Department, the state government has backed continuity of online learning and teaching process under the Har Ghar Pathshala Programme throughout the state for students of other classes. Apart from this, the state government has also instructed Principals/head teachers of educational institutes to make available offline notes to students who are unable to join Har Ghar Pathshala Programme.
