IIMC to conduct offline admission to vacant seats in SC, ST category

IIMC Offline Admission 2019: Indian Institute of Mass Communication will conduct offline admissions for the vacant seats in the SC/ST category. The admission will be conducted across all the six campuses of IIMC. Students who wish to seek admission to these vacant seats are required to appear for the written test and interview. As per the notification provided on the official website of IIMC, the admissions will be conducted through a written entrance exam and interview which will be held on August 26, 2019, at 10 AM at the respective campuses of IIMC. As per the official notification released, there are 32 vacant seats across the 6 campuses of IIMC. The programmes for which the seats are vacant include, English, Hindi, Urdu, Odia, Marathi and Malayalam Journalism. The written test will be conducted for 75 marks testing the candidates’ general awareness, aptitude, language skills, analytical and comprehension skills, ethics and values, social consciousness, lateral thinking and creativity, and brand awareness.

The interview will be conducted based on the performance of the students in the written test. Only those candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for the interview section of the offline admission.

As per the list of vacant seats provided, the Hindi and English Journalism programme has 4 and 3 seats vacant respectively, the English Journalism programmes have the highest number of vacant seats in Denkanal campus with 7 followed by Aizwal and Amravati with 2 seats each followed by Jammu and Kottayam campus with 3 seats. Dhenkanal campus also has a vacancy for Odia Journalism with 3 seats while Amravati campus has 2 seats vacant for Marathi Journalism. Malayalam Journalism at the Kottayam campus has 3 vacant seats bringing the total number of vacant seats to 32.
