IIT BHU 2024-25: Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) in the placement season of 2024-25 secured 1,128 job offers and 424 internship opportunities, as per an official statement. The institute broke its own record by securing its highest-ever cost-to-company (CTC) package of Rs 2.20 crore per annum, surpassing the previous record of Rs 2.15 crore set in 2021, marking IIT BHU’s best placement performance in the last decade.

The director, Prof Amit Patra said on the record, “These placement results reinforce our position as a premier institute producing industry-ready professionals. Our students’ talent and our commitment to excellence continue to attract top-tier recruiters.” He added, “As we continue our placement season, we remain dedicated to fostering strong industry partnerships and providing our students with unparalleled professional development opportunities.”

The placements have been conducted in a plethora of industries including technology, consulting, finance, and core engineering sectors. Major recruiters in this session include Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Tata Steel, Amazon, Databrics, ITC, Amazon, Samsung, Oracle, Walmart, and Qualcomm, among others.

The first phase of the IIT BHU placement drive began on November 30, 2024 and continued till December 12, 2024. The CTC range received in the first phase ranged between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 1.65 crore. The second phase began in the first week of January 2025 and is set to run until April 30, 2025.

The institute will release a comprehensive graduate outcome data by May 30, 2025, detailing job offers, placements across industries, and other key metrics, providing a holistic overview of the placement season’s success.
