JEE Main 2024 session 1  BTech and BE exams will begin tomorrow, January 27, 2024. The exams will be held on January 27, 29, 30, 31, and February 1. 2024. Students can check the complete exam details, shift timings, guidelines and instructions here.

JEE Main 2024 Admit Card: The JEE Main 2024 session 1 BTech and BE exams begin tomorrow, January 27, 2024. The exams will be held in two shifts. Shift 1 will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and shift 2 will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm.  Candidates appearing for the JEE Mains BTech and BE Exam can download their admit card through the link available on the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in. The JEE Mains 2024 exam will be held from January 24 to February 1, 2024. While the first exam will be for the B.Arch and B.Planning programme, the BE and BTech exams will be held in the remaining days from January 27 to February 1, 2024. The hall ticket for the JEE Mains session 1 B. Arch and B. Planning exams are available on the official website. The admit card for the BTech and BE programme is expected to be released today or tomorrow. 

JEE Mains 2024 Exam Admit Card

The JEE Main Hall ticket link is available for download on the official website - jeemain.nta.ac.in. To download the hall ticket students are required to visit the official website and log in using the application number and date of birth. It must be noted that the JEE Main admit card is a mandatory document for students to carry with them on the exam day along with a valid ID proof.

JEE Main Session 1 Exam 2024 - What to Carry

The JEE Main exams are scheduled to begin on January 24, 2024. Those appearing for the first exam can check here the list of items allowed inside the exam hall.

JEE Mains Hall Ticket

The JEE Main hall ticket is mandatory on the exam day. Students are required to carry a coloured printout of the JEE Mains hall ticket with them. The admit card must be self-attested (signed by the candidate)

Photo ID Proof

Along with the admit card students are also required to carry with them a valid photo ID proof. The photo ID can be any government document that specifies the candidate's name, date of birth, and address along with their photograph. The Photo ID will be used for identification and verification purposes. The list of valid Photo ID proofs includes - Aadhaar card, PAN card, or driver's license.

Passport Size Photograph

Students must carry a minimum of three passport-size photographs with them. It must be noted that the photograph must be the same as that uploaded in the JEE Main application form. 

Stationery

Students will be provided with papers for rough work inside the exam hall. Candidates are however required to carry with them a ballpoint pen. 

Certificates and Documents

Students from the PwD category and those requiring scribes must carry the required documented proof and permission letters with them. PwD category students must carry the certificates with them on the exam day. 

Other Essentials

Candidates are allowed to carry with them a water bottle. The bottle must be transparent. Medical emergency students can carry with them their necessary items including medicines, inhalers, and other devices with the required permission.

JEE Main Exam 2024 - List of Prohibited Items

Candidates appearing for the JEE Main exams are allowed to carry a certain list of items as mentioned. However, there are a few things that will not be allowed inside the exam centre. The list for the same is given below. 

Electronic Devices

Students are not allowed to carry with their mobile devices, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, and other items. The same will be confiscated and the students may be barred from attempting the exam if caught using the same inside the exam hall.

Books and Rough materials

Students are not allowed to carry any reference books, notes, chits, papers, or rough materials inside the exam hall. 

Bags and Wallets

Women are not allowed to carry any wallets or bags inside the exam hall while men are prohibited from carrying their wallets inside the exam hall 

JEE Mains Dress Code 2024

The JEE Main 2024 exams will be held from January 24 to February 1, 2024.  Students appearing for the exams are required to follow the dress code prescribed for the exams.

  • Students are advised to avoid clothes with pockets or metal objects
  • Jackets and Hoodies will not be permitted
  • Students are advised to wear loose-fitting clothes
  • Shoes with heavy soles are not allowed
  • Candidates must refrain from wearing jewellery

JEE Mains Exam Day Guidelines

The JEE Main exams are being held in the online mode. Students appearing for the exams can check the exam day instructions and guidelines here.

  • Students must report to the exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam. Those coming from far-off places are also advised to make necessary travel arrangements and reach the exam venue well ahead of time. 
  • Candidates must make sure to carry a printout of their JEE Main hall ticket a valid photo ID proof and passport-size photographs.
  • Students must make sure that they do not have any items mentioned in the prohibited items list.
  • . If a candidate goes for bio-break /toilet, he/she should undergo the mandatory frisking and biometrics again. Apart from the biometric attendance and frisking at entry, candidates will be frisked and
    biometric attendance will be taken again on entry from bio-break/toilets break.
  • Duly filled-in Admit Card must be dropped in the designated DropBox while leaving the Examination Hall/Room. Failures to do so may result in a non-evaluation of your answers.
