Karnataka 2nd PUC Supplementary Exams: Karnataka State Board has commenced the Karnataka 2nd PUC supplementary exams from today onwards. The exams are being conducted in two shifts for the students. According to reports, approximately 2 lakh candidates are appearing for the exams from today onwards. The exams are being conducted in 305 exam centre across the state.
The examinations will be conducted until September 19, 2020. Approximately 2,12,652 candidates are appearing for the Karnataka 2nd PUC supplementary exams conducted by the state, from these 1,29,975 students are male while 82,677 are female candidates. The first shift of the exam was conducted from 10: 5 AM and will continue until 1:30 PM while the second shift will begin at 2:15 PM until 5:30 PM.
The students who have failed in the Karnataka 2nd PUC exams in more than one subject are eligible to appear for the exams. Students who will clear the Karnataka 2nd PUC Supplementary exams will be able to take admissions in the undergraduate courses offered by the universities across the state.
Facilities provided for students
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation is providing the students with free travel on the buses. The candidates will be allowed to travel free of cost in the state transport corporation causes between thor residence and exam centres. In order to avail the facility, the students are required to produce their admit cards.
The PUC department of Karnataka has also informed the students regarding the SOPs to be followed while the exams are conducted for the students. The students will have to use sanitizers placed at the exam centres. Health workers have also been asked to work as invigilators who will be wearing PPE Kits along with the department officials.
Students travelling from containment zones will also be asked to sit in separate rooms from the other students. According to the department this year 62 percent of candidates have been declared passed in the Karnataka 2nd PUC exams 2020.
