
Maharashtra School Reopening: As per the recent updates, schools in most of the areas of Maharashtra has reopened from today, 1st December 2021. As per the orders from the state government, schools for classes 1 to 7 has started from today in urban areas and for classes 1 to 4 in rural areas. The guidelines for schools reopening in the state were released on 29th November 2021. The announcement was also made by the state School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad. However, the schools in Mumbai will reopen from 15th December 2021 as per BMC orders.
Maharashtra School Reopening Guidelines
Students must note that even though schools have been allowed to reopen, they must stay in touch with their schools and wait for an update from them. They must approach the campus, only when asked to and as per the plan of the schools. Maharashtra School Reopening has only been allowed on the condition that COVID-19 safety protocols are followed by everyone at all times.
School authorities have to ensure that there is a distance of at least 6 feet between two students and students are called in alternative batches. Regular sanitisation of school surroundings has been made mandatory and the authorities have been instructed to ensure that all their non-teaching staff is fully vaccinated. Meanwhile, it is advised that everyone adopts their safety measures as well and not break any rules.
Mumbai Schools To Reopen From 15th December
The schools in Mumbai for the students of Classes 1 to 7 will now reopen from 15th December, BMC stated. Schools in Maharashtra were scheduled to run in shifts of three to four hours and students from 1st December. BMC also stated that the decision has been taken due to the onslaught of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
Maharashtra Schools received the nod to reopen for Primary classes from the state government but the final decision was left to specific areas and their Municipal Corporations. As the final decision was supposed to be taken by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) the reopening got delayed.
