Mumbai University 2019 merit list for the first round of undergraduate admissions has been released today. Applicants can now check whether they have made it to their desired undergraduate course by visiting the individual website of the colleges.

Mumbai University Merit List 2019 Released: The first merit list of Mumbai University has been released for admission into UG courses offered at its affiliated colleges. Ghanshyamadas Sharaf College of Arts and Commerce and SIES College of Commerce and Economics were among the first colleges to release the First Merit List. Following the general trend, Mumbai University's affiliated colleges have announced the MU Merit List 2019 for various courses including BY B.Sc, FY BA and FY B. The candidates who have successfully applied and registered for the Mumbai University UG admissions can now check the merit lists by visiting the official website of respective colleges.  The document verification process for students seeking admission through the first admission list will commence from June 8 and the students will be able to submit the application fee from 18th June to 20th June, 2019.

The merit list was earlier expected to be released on June 13, 2019, however it was delayed and has finally been published today. The delay in the release of the merit list was caused due to the delay in the submission of MSBSHSE HSC marksheet by certain students. The University releases a total of 3 merit lists each year for admission to the undergraduate level programmes. The second merit list is expected to be out on June 20, 2019, whereas the third and the final merit list is expected to be out on June 24, 2019.

The document verification process for the students seeking admission through the second merit list will be commencing from June 20 and the students will be able to submit the admission fee between June 20 to June 22, 2019. Similarly, for the third merit list, the document verification process will be commencing from June 24, 2019, and the students will be able to submit the admission fee between June 24 to 24, 2019.  

This year, the University has received a total of 6,61,641 applications for admissions to the different courses offered by it. Candidates aspiring to secure admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the Mumbai University can refer to the list given below with regards to the documents required for the admission process:

  • Passport size photograph of the applicant
  • Scanned signature of the applicant
  • Self-attested class 10 certificate/mark sheet containing the date of birth
  • Self-attested Class 12th certificate/marksheet
  • Caste Certificate (if the candidate belongs to the reserved categories)
  • EWS Certificate (if the candidate is applying under EWS Reservation quota)
  • Self-attested copies of sports and ECA certificates
