The National Institute of Open Schooling, NIOS has opened the registration for bridge courses till July 19, 2026 on the official website of NIOS, bridge.nios.ac.in. To register for the course you need to visit the website and log in and register themselves. It is a six-month certification course in Primary Teacher Education. The application window was closed on 30th April, 2026. But after getting requests from teachers it has been reopened. The eligible candidates are advised to apply before the deadline, as the deadline will not be extended further.
How to Apply for NIOS Bridge Course 2026?
The eligible candidates need to register for the six-month certificate course, for that they need to register and apply by following the simple steps:
- Visit the official website
- On the homepage, you will find a link “register for six-month bridge course”
- Click on the link saying “enroll now”
- Fill in all your personal details asked, name, fathers name, mothers name, DOB, gender and School UDISE Code.
- Click on verify and hit the submit button.

Eligibility Criteria & Instructions
This programme is designed to enhance the teaching and learning skills of the teachers who are in service or have qualified the BEd exam. The main motive to have this program is to bridge the gap between old school learning and the modern educational leaning. Check out the basic eligibility criteria and important instruction that has to be followed:
- The teachers who are in service they are eligible and Candidate with BEd qualification
- They have been appointed for the period from 28.06.2018 to 11.08.2023, as per NCTE notification dated.
- They must complete the course within one year from the date of beginning
- Those who will fail in the course there validity of the appointment will be rejected
Documents Required for NIOS Bridge Course 2026?
To be eligible for applying candidate need their valid documents which are, passport sized coloured photograph, BEd Marksheek and certificate, Signature, Appointment letter, and self declaration letter signed by the school principal.
