NVS Admission 2020: As per the latest update, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti or NVS, has invited applications for admission to Class 9 in JNVS Schools spread across the country. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is an autonomous body that operates under the aegis of HRD Ministry’s Department of School Education and Literacy. The Samiti has formally announced NVS Admission 2020 for the academic year 2020-21 to fill the Class 9 vacant seats available at JNVS Schools. During the current admission session, the Samiti will be filling up vacant seats available across all 636 operational Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas spread over 28 states and 7 Union Territories.

JNV Admission 2020: Selection Process

To admit students to Class 9 on the seats that are currently vacant in JNV Schools across India, NVS would be conducting an entrance exam or screening test. As per the official schedule, the screening test is scheduled to be held on 8^th February 2020. The Admission Test will be held in the JNV of the concerned district or any alternative exam centre notified by the Samiti. Candidates are advised to complete the online registration process to appear for the JNV 2020 Admission Test. Candidates must note that merely appearing or clearing the JNV Admission Test 2020 does not guarantee admission to the JNV Schools. The final admission will be granted to students who are able to furnish all the necessary documents and complete the admission formalities in time.

NVS Admission Test 2020 – Exam Pattern

According to the official notification, NVS would be screening students for admission to Class 9 on the basis of a screening test, scheduled to be held on 8^th February 2020. The JNV Admission Test 2020 will be of two hours and thirty minutes. In terms of syllabus, the test would include questions on key subjects including Mathematics, General Science, Hindi and English. The overall difficulty level of the question paper will be of Class 8. During the exam, candidates will have to answer the questions asked through an OMR Answer sheet provided to them during the exam. Students can opt to appear for the JNV Admission Test 2020 either in English or Hindi medium.

JNV Admission Test 2020 – Application Process

The applications for JNV Admission Test 2020 will be accepted only in online format through the official admission portal of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Candidates can log onto nvsadmissionclassnine.in to complete the online application process. Last date to apply for Class 9 lateral entry test is December 10, 2019.
