Odisha School Holiday: Heavy rainfall in Odisha has forced several districts to close the school for safety of children and school staff. These districts are Sonepur, Cuttack and Sambalpur, as per Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) there is continuous heavy rainfall all over the state. The precautionary measure has been taken amid ongoing adverse weather conditions. Districts administrations announced the closure of schools or educational institutions after the IMD forecast Report which states heavy to very heavy rainfall. The weather system has intensified monsoon activity, leading to water logging, overflowing rivers and concerns over high chances of possible floods in several districts of Odisha.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted continued heavy rainfall over several districts of Odisha as the situation continues to get more severe.
