UP Schools Reopening: As per the media updates, schools will reopen in Uttar Pradesh from 1st September for students of classes 6th to 8th. The preparations are being made to reopen schools from the prescribed date. The schools will resume by following all the COVID-19 protocols. To discuss the reopening of schools, the CM held an important meeting today. During the meeting, CM Yogi Adityanath has issued instructions for the admission process for classes 6th to 8th. In the meeting, the CM informed that schools can be started from 1st September based on the prevailing situation.

Earlier, the UP government issued orders to open schools for classes 9th to 12th from 16th August. The schools will open with a maximum seating capacity of 50 percent. In the meantime, the school management has been asked to follow all protocols related to COVID-19. It has been mentioned that the classes will be done in two shifts to maintain social distancing and thus prevent the outbreak of the virus.

Schools To Follow Safety Protocols

In a meeting about the reopening of schools, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath mentioned that classes can now reopen after analyzing the current COVID-19 scenario. It should be mentioned that students have to follow safety protocols such as wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, using hand sanitisers. Further, educational institutions should follow the detailed SOP with regards to precautions to be taken against COVID-19 as will be given by the government. Educational institutions are expected to sanitize and disinfect every classroom, maintain social distancing for the safety and well-being of the students.

It is mandatory for students to wear masks in schools. Students would undergo thermal screening before entering schools. Along with this, students will also have to follow social distancing. According to the guidelines, it will be mandatory for students to take written consent from their families to attend school. Students would not be allowed to enter the school without written consent.

According to the instructions issued, colleges and universities in the state will also reopen on 1st September.
