VITEEE 2020 Exam Pattern Changed: As per the latest update, VIT University, Vellore has modified the examination pattern for VITEEE Exam 2020. Vellore Institute of Technology, which organizes the VITEEE Exam, has announced a major change in the engineering entrance examination with introduction of aptitude section. The change in exam pattern was notified by the institute through an official notification announced earlier.
Why change in exam pattern?
The official notification which confirms change in VITEEE Exam Pattern has also provided the grounds on which the exam authorities have decided to change the pattern of the exam. The notification says that introduction of aptitude section for VITEEE Exam has been based on the feedback of various stakeholders including industries and academic experts. Entrance exam of various universities and engineering and technology institutes across the world have introduced a dedicated section to test aptitude of the students in apart from their analytical ability and verbal prowess. On similar lines, VIT University has also decided to introduce Aptitude Section as part of its screening process for VITEEE 2020.
New Exam Pattern
Following the introduction of Aptitude Section, VITEEE 2020 exam will now consist of five key sections as follows:

Apart from the introduction of Aptitude Section and restricting of questions across different sections, the new exam pattern retains the overall duration for VITEEE 2020 exam at 2 hours and 30 minutes. In terms of marking scheme as well, VITEEE has retained its no-negative marking scheme and therefore candidates will not be penalised for wrong answers in the exam paper.
Sample Paper Based on New Exam Pattern Soon
While the institute has not provided any official timeline for the start of online registration process for VITEEE 2020 exam, the general timeline puts the date somewhere in the third week of October 2019. Before the start of the exam registration process, VIT University will soon release an official sample question paper for the entrance exam based on the new examination pattern with aptitude section on its official website.
