Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) was established by an Act of Parliament, the Academy of Scientific Innovative Research Act, 2011 vides The Gazette of India No. 15 dated February 7, 2012 and notified on 3 April 2012.
AcSIR is being established as an ‘Institution of National Importance' to maximize the number of qualified researchers and professionals in the domain of science & engineering. It invites application from the eligible candidates for the admission of the courses mentioned below:

- Admission selection interviews: 20 July- 22 July 2012
- Declaration of the List of Selected Candidates: 30 July 2012
- Last date for submission of programme fees: 9 August 2012
- Admission from waiting list: 10 August-17 August 2012
- Commencement of the academic session: 14 August 2012
Eligibility Criteria for the admission in AcSIR
Educational Qualification:The candidate must be Engineering Graduate (Graduated in 2011/ Graduating in 2012) with minimum 70 percent marks or 7.0 CGPA
Desirable Qualification: A valid GATE score will be an added advantage
Age Limit (as on 1 July 2012): Maximum 28 years (age relaxation for reserved categories as per Government of India rules)
Selection Procedure for admission in AcSIR: Candidates will be short-listed for the different positions based on their preferences and will be intimated electronically of their being shortlisted. Henceforth, they will be required to appear for interview for selection at the designated centres.
Final selection will be based on performance of the candidate in the interview in addition to their academic performance.
