Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test September (APTET) 2013

Government of Andhra Pradesh School Education Department invited applications for Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test to be held on 1^st September 2013. The candidates who intend to be a teacher for classes I to VIII in school in Andhra Pradesh can apply through prescribed format before 31 July 2013.

Important Dates

• Starting Dates for Online Submission of Application form: 16 July 2013
• Closing Dates for Online Submission of Application form: 31 July 2013
• Date of Examination: 1 September 2013
• Download of Hall Ticket: 25 August 2013 onwards

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates applying for APTET 2013 should posses minimum qualification prescribed for a teacher for I to V class (Paper I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper II). The candidates who are pursuing final year or any other teacher education courses recognized by NCTE can apply for the examination.

The minimum qualification for Classes I to V is mentioned below:

Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education

Or

Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

Or

Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*

The minimum qualification for Classes VI to VIII is mentioned below:

B.A/B.Sc/B .Com and pass in or pursuing final year of 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

BA. /B.Sc 1B.Com passed with at least45% marks and pass or pursuing 1 –year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) Course.

OR

BA. / B.Sc/B.Com pass with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing 1-year in BEd. (Special Education) Course.

OR

Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) Course.

OR

Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass in or pursuing final year of 4-year B.Sc. Ed or B A. Ed Course.

Application Fee

The eligible candidates are required to pay Rs 200/- (Rupees Three hundred only) for only Paper-I or only Paper-Il or both.

How to Apply

The candidates eligible for the posts should apply through online format on www.apset.org by filling all the mandatory details from 15 July 2013 to 31 July 2013.

Selection Procedure

The selection of the candidate will be done on the basis of performance in written examination in APTET 2013.
