Today, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) held the Class 12 Physics exams for students across the state. The exam was conducted during the afternoon shift, from 1:30 to 4:30 PM. The AHSEC Class 12 Physics paper carries a 100 mark framework, in which 70 Marks is for theory components and a 30 Marks for practical assessment. - Difficulty Level: The overall paper has been Moderate as per students. The objective component (component A) was deemed less difficuly by the majority of students, however the case-study and descriptive sections took longer than expected.
- High weightage topics included (14 marks) and Electrostatics (9 marks). Modern Physics questions were generally basic.
- Numerical Distribution: Between 20 and 25% of the theoretical paper included numerical questions, mostly from Current Electricity and Magnetic Effects of Current.
