Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Campaign to Spread Female Education Awareness Nationwide

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi would formally launch the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign’ at Panipat. The Deputy Commissioner of Chandigarh, Vivek Atray called on the residents of Chandigarh for creating awareness on the necessity and importance of educating a girl child.

    While addressing people in Raipur Rani, as part of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign, Atray said that all girls in his state should get educated. Government has launched the programme in all the districts of the state officially and it would be in effect soon at every nook and corner of the country. The State Health Minister Anil Vij flagged the awareness rally from the Mini-Secretariat. Atry said, “The campaign was started in Haryana because there’s a lot of variation in sex ration in the 12 districts of the state.”

    Atray also announced a steep warning for the village sarpanchs that they can an eye on the ever growing cases of female foeticide and ensure that the guilty gets properly punished under law. He further added that prominence has to be given to the villages in Barwala and Raipur Rani Block, where the sex ratio is quite low and needs to be worked out for the betterment of the society at large.
