Calcutta High Court Notified Recruitment to 84 Group ‘C’ & ‘D’ Posts 2014

Offices of the District Judges, Burdwan and Malda invited applications for preparation of panels to fill up 84 vacancies in different categories under their Judgeships. Interested candidates should send their applications to the concerned District Recruitment Committee so as to reach the concerned authority (s) on or before 20 June 2014.

Total vacancies: 84 posts

1. English Stenographer: 8 posts (5 for Burdwan, 3 for Malda)

Pay Scale: PB-3 of Rs.7100-37600 + GP of Rs.3900

Qualifications: passed Madhyamik or equivalent exam + certificate in Computer Training + min. speed of 80 wpm in Shorthand and of 30 wpm in typewriting;

2. Lower Division Clerk: 21 posts (13 for Burdwan, 8 for Malda)

Pay Scale: PB-2 of Rs.5400-25200 + GP of Rs.2600

Qualifications: passed Madhyamik or equivalent exam + certificate in Computer Training + know English type-writing;

3. Process Server: 9 posts (5 for Burdwan, 4 for Malda)

Pay Scale: PB-2 of Rs.5400-25200 + GP of Rs.2300 (Burdwan) / PB of Rs.4900-16200 + GP of Rs.1800 (Malda)

Qualifications: passed Class VIII or equivalent exam;

4. Night Guard: 13 posts (Burdwan)

Pay Scale: PB-1 of Rs.4900-16200 + GP of Rs.1700

Qualifications: passed Class VIII or equivalent exam;

5. Day Guard: 2 posts (Burdwan)

Pay Scale: PB-1 of Rs.4900-16200 + GP of Rs.1700

Qualifications: passed Class VIII or equivalent exam;

6. Farash: 1 post (Burdwan)

Pay Scale: PB-1 of Rs.4900-16200 + GP of Rs.1700

Qualifications: passed Class VIII or equivalent exam;

7. Gardener: 1 post (Burdwan)

Pay Scale: PB-1 of Rs.4900-16200 + GP of Rs.1700

Qualifications: able to read & write in Bengali

8. Sweeper: 8 posts (Burdwan)

Pay Scale: PB-1 of Rs.4900-16200 + GP of Rs.1700

Qualifications: able to read & write in Bengali

Group ‘D’ posts of Office Peon, Farash & Nigh Guard: 21 posts (at Malda)

Pay Scale: PB-1 of Rs.4900-16200 + GP of Rs.1700

Qualifications: passed Class VIII or equivalent exam;

Age limit: (as on 1 January 2014)

Minimum: 18 years

Maximum: 40 years

[upper age limit is relax-able as per government rule)

Selection Procedure

Selection of candidates for inclusion in panel will be done on the basis of their performance in the written test/ trade test/ personality test/ interview (whichever is applicable).

Admit cards containing exam details – venue, date & time for exam – will be sent to the short-listed candidates.

The exam/ test for all categories of posts will be held on the date & time to be fixed/ conducted by the District

Recruitment Committee of the concerned Judgeships .

Application Fees

For English Stenographer, Lower Division Clerk & English Typist-copyist: Rs.50 (for SC/ ST candidates)/ Rs.200 (for all others)

For Process Server, Office Peon, Night Guard, Day Guard, Farash, Gardener & Sweeper: Rs.25 (for SC/ ST candidates)/ Rs.100 (for all others)

Fees are non-refundable which is to be paid through a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘District Judge & Chairman of District Recruitment Committee of Burdwan Judgeship’ payable at Burdwan. / through a crossed IPO drawn in favour of ‘District Judge Malda ’ payable at Malda.
