CAT 2014 Results: Final dates not declared; Aspirants confused & waiting

CAT 2014 Results have not been declared yet and with no news on when will they be out, aspirants are kept in waiting. Probable dates are being delayed without any concrete information on it. Aspirants are left confused and waiting.

CAT 2014 was conducted on 16th & 22nd November 2014. Lakhs of students sat for the examination on these two days in morning and evening sessions. After the results are out, aspirants will be able to reach to the colleges of their choice. It will begin the selection process which requires further preparation.

Previously it was to be out in the third week of December 2014. As third week of December is nearly done an over, aspirants are again eagerly reaching the authorities or any source where they can get the exact information. When CAT 2014 convenor was asked about the reason for the delay, CAT Convenor Rohit Kapoor said that they are “in the process of finalising the results.” However, he refused to commit to a date. “We want everything to be perfect before the results are announced,” he said.

CAT 2014 was held in 354 exam centres across 99 cities throughout the nation. This year’s exams saw major changes, including an increase in the duration of the examination from 140 minutes to 170 minutes, and an increase in questions in each section from 30 to 50.

In the past CAT exam results used to be declared in January. This year CAT conducting authorities wanted to give an eraly result. Many students have missed their Campus placements in order to try their luck in IIM selection process. Till any concrete information comes up on this, aspirants can only wait.
