Oct 13, 2015 18:40 IST

Find CBSE Class 11 Physics Practice Paper, Set-III for the coming exam. This paper is mainly based on the 3rd unit (Laws of motion) of class 11th physics. In this paper questions has been taken from the chapters Newton’s laws of motion and Friction. These questions will not only help the students to prepare for exams in a better manner, but will also help them in understanding the depth with which a topic should be studied.

Few sample questions from the Question Paper are given below:

    Q. State and explain laws of limiting friction. What are the factors on which the coefficient of friction depends? Draw and explain a labelled graph between force of friction and applied force.

    Q. Professor David was telling his students about Newton’s second law of motion. He explained to them that if the mass of a body remains constant then, the magnitude of the force acting on the body is given by the product of mass and acceleration. Suddenly Anuj stood up and asked his professor, “Is there any system where the mass also changes?" Professor happily replied to his query with some examples.

    (i) What are the values you observed in Anuj?

(ii) Give two examples of varying mass system.

    Q. Derive an expression for velocity of propulsion of a rocket at any instant. A rocket engine consumes 2 quintal of fuel per second. The exhaust speed of gases with respect to the rocket is 5 km/s. What is the force exerted on the rocket also calculate the velocity acquired by the rocket when its mass reduces to 1/100th of its initial mass.
