    Q. A physics teacher of class XI has assigned an assignment for finding the resultant spring constant when two springs of spring constants K1, K2 are joined in series.

A group of two students Ajay and Hariom made a theoretical study as well as verified experimentally. The other group Ram and Kavita could not verify experimentally. When the teacher enquired the next day, calculations of Ram and Kavita are found to be incorrect.

    (a) What are the qualities you observed in Ajay and Hariom?

    (b) Two springs having spring constant K1 and K2 are first connected in series and then corrected in parallel. Find the ratio equivalent force constant in both the cases.
