12th Results 2014 Tamil Nadu (12th TN Board Results or HSC Board TN Results 2014): Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Secondary Education which conducted TN HSC (12th) exam 2014 from 3rd March to 25th March will announce the 12th Result 2014 Tamilnadu (TN) Board at around 10 am today i.e. 9th May 2014.

The 12th Exam 2014 of Tamilnadu Board started on 3 March and end on 25 March. A total of 8,26,117 candidates have taken the exams this year out of which 445829 wer girls while rest 380288 were boys, along with private candidates numbering to 74,647. Over 5 lakh students wrote the exams in Tamil. The examinations were completed across 143 exam centers, and over 5 lakh of the candidates wrote the papers in Tami. Contrary to previous reports that suggested results were to be declared on May 23, 2014, the results will be now be released on May 9, 2014.
Last year, the exam results were announced in June. More than 8.5 lakh students wrote the exams, which saw a marginal increase in pass percentage compared to 2012. Last year, the pass percentage was 88.1 percent and it is expected to improve this year. In 2013, girls outshined the boys in pass percentage. Namakkal district produced the toppers in the exams last year.
This year, TN HSC examinations kick started on March 3 with Language Paper I being the first exam. The exams continued till March 17 with Accountancy and Chemistry papers. The final papers included Bio Chemistry, Communicative English, and Indian Culture among others.
HSC Examination conducted by Tamil Nadu State Board is equal to 12th Class examination of other national and state boards. The results will be released by Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examination.
Due to heavy traffic on the site, students may face problems in obtaining the results comfortably. Students therefore are requested to be patient while accessing their results.
