Over the years, India has witnessed major advances in the field of molecular biology and genetic technologies. This, in turn has led to the growth in the generation of biological information. This demand has augmented the need for trained professionals. Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB), Bengaluru, in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the M.Sc. programme in bioinformatics and biotechnology.
The regular programme will be held at the IBAB campus in Bengaluru. Application forms are available for students till April 14, 2011 at IBAB campus. Selection will be done on the basis of an online test, to be held from May 2 to May 6, followed by a personal interview at Bengaluru from June 6 to June 10. Classes will commence from July 29.
