The date of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for the year 2013 was announced in the second week of August 2012. The GATE is scheduled to be held in the month of January/February 2013.
With the announcement of GATE dates, good news seems to be ringing for women. With the new implementations, from 2013 onwards, women aspirants would not have to pay any fees relating to the test. Also, all the grievances will be redressed on a single online applicant interface.
Following are the important dates related to GATE 2013
• Starting of receipt of online application: 1 September 2012.
• End date for online submission of application: 30 September 2012
• End date for receipt of printed version of application : 8 October 2012
• GATE exam 2013 (for specific papers) : 20 January 2013, 10 February 2013
GATE 2013 is conducted through the constitution of eight zones namely, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (Zone-1), IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee. The overall coordination and responsibility of conducting GATE 2013 belongs to IIT Bombay.
