Delhi Home Guard Selection Procedure: The Directorate General of Home Guards (DGHG), New Delhi, has invited online applications for enrollment of the Home Guards volunteers. Delhi Home Guard Selection Procedure 2024 for PMET
The first stage of the Delhi Home Guard selection procedure will be the Physical Measurement and Efficiency Test (PMET). Delhi Home Guard Selection Procedure 2024 for Written Exam and Bonus Marks

Delhi Home Guard Selection Procedure 2024 for Written Exam
- The written exam will consist of 80 multiple-choice objective questions for 80 marks.
- The exam duration will be 90 minutes.
- The question paper will be of the matriculation standard (10th grade).
- The medium of the exam will be bilingual in Hindi and English.

Delhi Home Guard Selection Procedure 2024 for Bonus Marks
The bonus marks will be assigned to the candidates as per the bonafide claim in accordance with the fulfilment of the eligibility as submitted by the applicant in their application. However, the same will be verified during document verification and on any false information or claim, the candidature shall be cancelled. A maximum of 16 marks as a bonus will be awarded as per the following details:
(i) Bonus Marks for NCC: (5 Marks maximum)
- a) NCC ‘C’ Certificate: 5 Marks
- b) NCC ‘B’ Certificate: 3 Marks
- c) NCC ‘A’ Certificate: 2 Marks
(ii) Bonus marks for experience as home guards: (8 Marks maximum)
2 years experience: 3 Marks
More than 2 years and up to 3 years experience: 4 Marks
More than 3 years and up to 5 years experience: 6 Marks
More than 5 years experience: 8 Marks
(iii) Bonus marks for Experience in Civil Defence (6 Marks maximum)
2 years experience: 2 Marks
More than 2 years and up to 3 years experience: 3 Marks

Delhi Home Guard Selection Procedure 2024 for Document and Bonus Marks Verification
Candidates who have qualified for the PMET will undergo the written test first, and only those who will be featured in the merit list of written test cum bonus marks shall be shortlisted for verification of bonus marks documents and other documents. The original documents for verification of the eligibility conditions, reservation and claim for the bonus will be scrutinised and verified by the duly constituted board.

- Educational Qualification Certificates/Marksheets
- Valid Passport/Election Commission Photo I Card/Current and valid ration card bearing his name and photograph/Valid Driving Licence issued by Transport Dept. GNCT Delhi/A duly attested passbook of a public sector bank account with a photograph of a residential address in Delhi or a certificate issued by the competent or authorised government authority of the Revenue Department, GNCT Delhi.
- Caste certificate by the candidate seeking reservation as SC, ST or OBC in the prescribed format.
- A declaration in the prescribed format by the candidate seeking reservation as OBC that they do not belong to the creamy layer, in addition to the community certificate (OBC).
- A valid certificate for a resident of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is to be produced, failing which candidature shall be rejected.

Delhi Home Guard Selection Procedure 2024 for Medical Exam
The next stage of the Delhi Home Guard selection procedure will be a medical exam. Selected candidates must qualify for the medical and submit a police clearance certificate, which can be obtained from the Delhi Police website. The Medical Board shall medically examine the selected candidate in Govt. Hospitals of GNCT Delhi on following medical standards
Eyesight
Distant Vision | Normal: Both eyes should be 6/6. (OR) (1) Better eye with correction 6/6. (2) Worse eye vision: 6/12 (without correction). (OR) Both eyes should be 6/9 |

Hearing: free from any disability.
Defects or deformity: Free from any defect or deformity of limbs.
Disease: Free from hernia, piles, respiratory disease, diabetes, or any other disease that adversely affects the work as a Home Guard.
Other: Should not be flat-footed or suffering from knocked knees or bowed legs and should not be overweight (BMI 18.5 to 29.9)

The Delhi Home Guard final merit list for the available vacancies will be made as per the marks obtained in the written test and verified bonus marks of only those candidates who have qualified in both stages. The Delhi Home Guard final merit list comprises names and roll numbers declared successful in the Delhi Home Guard selection procedure.
