The University of Delhi was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly. Popularly known as DU, it offers courses at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. It invites application from eligible candidates for selecting students for admission to MSc (Genetics).

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in Delhi University (DU)
Educational Qualification: BSc (General) or BSc (Hons.) or an equivalent undergraduate degree in any branch of life sciences/ physical sciences/ chemical sciences/ mathematical sciences/ medical sciences/ pharmacology/ any branch of biology/ paramedical sciences with at least 60% marks in their main subject (for Hons. stream) or in aggregate (for BSc general) or other equivalent undergraduate degree. Those appearing for their final year exams can also appear for the entrance test.
Selection Procedure for Admission in Delhi University (DU): Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit in the Written Test (Objective type, Multiple choice) followed by an interview of qualified candidates. The number of candidates to be called for interview will be approximately five times the intake capacity of the course.
How to Apply for Admission in Delhi University (DU): The candidates should send their completed application along with photo copies of each of the mark sheet of BSc exam; and Matriculation/ Secondary School Certificate bearing the date of birth, to The Head, Department of Genetics, University of Delhi - South Campus, Benito Juarez Road, New Delhi - 110 021 (Tel: 011-24112761; 24113106 Ext- 179).
Application form by Post: Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC/ ST candidates)
The fee needs to be paid in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Director, University of Delhi South Campus, payable at State Bank of India, South Campus Branch, must accompany the application form. Candidates are requested to write their name, and address at the back of Bank Draft.
