DU First Cut Off List 2013
The University of Delhi (DU) is all set to release its first cut-off list on 27 June 2013 for admission to its various four years undergraduate programs. Drawing on the high rise in the number of applications received this year, it is anticipated that the cut-offs will also soar higher than the last year. Also, the increase in the number of high scorers in class 12 board exam is expected to cause the cut offs soar higher.
The first cut off list is anticipated to soar higher than 97 percent for most of the science courses if it has anything to go by the last year's cut-off lists. Last year, the cut off for Physics went as high as 97 for Hindu College, for Chemistry the first list included 95.33 percent as the highest cut off for Hindu College. Economic touched 97 percent in SRCC and soared between 95.75 to 99.25 percent for Hindu College in the first cut-off list. Therefore, DU 2013 cut off lists is by all means, expected to go up this year following the past trends in mind.
This year, around 1.7 lakh applications have already been received till date in DU as against of 1.4 lakh applications received last year. This means the university has received 21 percent more applications than last year.
The introduction of the four year undergraduate programs (FYUP) doesn’t seem to have caused any harm to the popularity of DU, as against to all the anticipations about FYUP. In fact, a lot of engineering aspirants are seemed flocking to DU for seeking admission in newly introduced B.Tech courses.
The eligible candidates who will satisfy all the requirements of DU's first cut off list would be required to complete their admission procedures including the payment of fee by 1 PM on 29 June 2013.
