Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will conduct Entrance Exam for admission to various courses from 22 May 2012 to 25 May 2012. Candidates who applied for admission in JNU can download the admit card from the official website of Jawaharlal Nehru University from 10 May 2012.

JNU will conduct entrance exam for admission in its various schools under category ‘A', Direct Admission to PhD Programme under Category ‘B', Admission of JRF Holders to M Phil/ PhD and Pre- PhD/ PhD Programme in science schools under Category ‘C', and Part-Time Programmes under Category ‘D'.
Jawaharlal Nehru University was established by an act of parliament in 1969 and is mainly a research oriented postgraduate university with approximately 8,000 students and a faculty strength of around 550. The objective of the founders was to make the university a premier institution of higher learning and to promote research and teaching leading to the increasing engagement of its students and teachers in higher level academic work and national and international policy making.
