Delhi: The DU Admission 2016-17 saw an overwhelming response from the applicants. The online registration for DU Admission 2016 kick started on 01 June. A total of 39000 applications were submitted for over 60000 UG seats. Out of the total number of applicants a total of 5600 have completed the entire process including the payment of fees.
This is the first time the varsity has introduced the online registration process for DU Admission 2016-17, unlike previous years where both online and offline options were available for the applicants. The online portal for registration process began at 12 noon and continued smoothly, though few complaints were there regarding technical glitches.
The first cut off list will be released on 27 June and this time only five cut off lists will be released. However the merit list for the remaining seats will be released by the respective colleges, after the declaration of the fifth cutoff list. Students shall have only three days, to complete the process, after the publication of each cutoff list.
After the cut-off list is released, students are required to log on to their registered online account, select the desired combination of course and college and then take a printout of the form. Students are then required to give the application form and the original documents for verification. Acknowledgement receipt will be given to the students.
A student can change the college after the release of the second cutoff list only after cancelling the previous admission. For cancellation of the admission the student shall have to approach the college and report the cancellation online. The student is also required to get the originals from the respective college in order to take the admission in another college.
The online registration for DU Admission 2016-17 will continue till 19 June.
