ANS Eligibility Criterion for Examination to be conducted by the SSC for Recruitment of Constables (GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, 2013 is as follows:
Nationality /Citizenship:
Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2013) :
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 23 years.
Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02 January 1990 and not later than 01 January 1995. The upper age limit will be relaxed for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other categories in accordance with the Governments orders on the subject.

The Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate available on the date of submission of application will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age of the candidate.

Candidates must not have:
• knock knee,
• flat foot,
• varicose vein
• squint in eyes
Candidates should:
• have high color vision.
• have good mental and bodily health
• be free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Any female candidate who during the medical examination is found to be pregnant of twelve weeks standing or above, she shall be declared temporarily unfit and her appointment held in abeyance until the confinement is over.
