With the green signal given, it is certain now, that the first cut off list will be out in public on 26 June 2012. With 103,500 students competing for the 54,000 coveted seats available at Delhi University this year, we can expect some sky high cut offs. A total of 145,000 pre-admission forms have already been sold off, out of which 103,500 forms have been so far submitted. Online submissions summed up to a figure of 43,300.
16 June 2012,recorded a whopping figure of 88,200 submissions which scaled on to 103,500 on 18 June 2012.The physically disabled category, which has a 3% quota enabling 1,620 seats by their side, witnessed 501 registrations. The figure showed improvement from last year’s 431. With the number of students who scored above 95% in CBSE Class 12 exams going up by 100, the cut off list is most likely to hit an increase by 5 percent in some colleges.
2011 saw a complete chaos in terms of college cut off marks , where colleges abandoned the pre admission forms and declared their cut off’s completely on their terms, this year things are more disciplined. The pre-admission forms will be first mechanically scanned to understand the demand for each course and college. This information will then be articulated to the colleges by 22 June 2012 after which the colleges will come out with their first cut-off list.
