Goa PSC Invited Application for 17 Scientific Officer & Other Posts, Apply by 28 April

Goa PSC Recruitment Notification: Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) invited applications for recruitment to 17 posts of Junior Physician, Senior Paediatrician, Public Health Dentist, Assistant Director, Scientific Officer, District Welfare Officer and Assistant Professor. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format on or before 28 April 2016.

Under GPSC Recruitment 2016 out of total 17 posts, 04 posts are for Scientific Officer, 03 posts for Public Health Dentist, 02 each for Senior Paediatrician and Junior Physician posts and 01 post each for Medical Officer, District Welfare Officer, Assistant Professor.

Eligibility for Scientific Officer:  (i) Master’s Degree in Science with at least second class from a recognized University. (ii) Should possess at least 5 years practical experience in a State/Central Forensic Science Laboratory. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

Eligibility for Public Health Dentist:  (i). A degree qualification included in Part I or Part II of the schedule to the Dentist Act, 1948 (16 of 1948). (ii) Knowledge of Konkani.

Eligibility for Senior Paediatrician: (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post graduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in speciality concerned. (iii) Work in a responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 3 years after post-graduation Degree or five years after post-graduation Diploma. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.

Eligibility for Junior Physician: (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Postgraduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the speciality concerned. (iii) In case of Diploma holders, Work in responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 2 years after post-graduation Diploma. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.

Eligibility for District Welfare Officer: (i) Degree in Social Service or Social Welfare or Social work or Sociology or Psychology from a recognised University or equivalent. (ii) 5 years experience in Social Work in any Government recognised Social Welfare Organization. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

Eligibility for Assistant Professor: (i) Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. (ii) National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor: Provided, however, that candidates who are or have been awarded Ph. D. Degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges”. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.

Eligibility for Medical Officer: (i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 18 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 or a degree of Goa Medical School (MedicoCirurgiao). (ii) Completion of compulsory rotating internship. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
