Goa PSC Notified Recruitment for 05 Assistant Professor and Lecturer Posts 2015

    Goa Public Service Commission invited applications for 05 Posts of Assistant Professor in Neurology, Lecturer in Orthopedic Surgery, Assistant Professors in Commerce, Assistant Professors in Sociology and Assistant Professors in Geography. The eligible candidates can apply online to the Posts through the prescribed format on or before 19 March 2015.

    Pay Scale:

    • Assistant Professor in Neurology - Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/-
    • Lecturer in Orthopedic Surgery - Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/
    • Assistant Professors in Commerce - Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,000/-
    • Assistant Professors in Sociology - Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,000/-
    • Assistant Professors in Geography - Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,000/-

    Eligibility Criteria:

    • Assistant Professor in Neurology –
    1. A recognised medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956).
    2. Post graduate degree or equivalent in the concerned super-speciality or equivalent.
    3. At least one year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution in the subject of super-speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.).
    4. Knowledge of Konkani.
    • Lecturer in Orthopedic Surgery –
    1. A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
    2. Post Graduate degree qualification in the specialty concerned or equivalent.
    3. At least 3 years teaching experience in the concerned specialty as Senior Resident/Registrar/ Tutor/Demonstrator in a Medical College/Teaching Institution.
    4. Knowledge of Konkani..
    • Assistant Professors in Commerce, Sociology  and Geography-
    1. Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
    2. National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor. Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges”.
    3. Knowledge of Konkani

    The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the interview/exam conducted by the commission.
