Eligibility Lecturer, Sr. Surgeon, Jr. Pathologist and other Job

Lecturer | (i) A qualification included in Part I or Part II of the Schedule to the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948). (ii) Post-Graduate qualification in Dentistry i.e. Master of Dental Surgery in concerned specialty/ subject from a recognized institution or equivalent. (iii) Should be registered with Dental Council. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. |
Lecturer in Medicine | (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (03) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-graduate medical qualification in the specialty concerned or equivalent. (iii) At least 3 years teaching experience in the concerned specialty as Senior Resident/ Registrar/ Tutor/ Demonstrator in a Medical College/ Teaching Institution. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. |
Senior Surgeon | (i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Postgraduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the specialty concerned. (iii) Work in a responsible position connected with the specialty concerned for 3 years after post-graduation Degree or five years after post-graduation Diploma. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. |
Junior Pathologist | (i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-graduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the specialty concerned. (iii) In the case of Diploma holders, Work in a responsible position connected with the specialty concerned for 2 years after post-graduation Diploma. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. |
Incharge Marine Slipway | (i) Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/Marine, or Automobile Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent. (ii) 03 years experience for degree holders and 05 years experience for diploma in maintenance/overhauling and repairs of marine/auto diesel engines/hull repair etc. in a reputed Shipyard/ Marine Workshop. |
Deputy Hydrographic Surveyor | (i) Licentiate member of the Institution of Surveyors (India) in Sub Div. I (b) Hydrographic Surveying and a minimum of 5 years experience in surveying in a recognized Hydrographic Surveying Service as Asst. Hydrographic Surveyor or equivalent, after obtaining Licentiate member. OR Should be a Survey Recorder 1st class of the Indian Navy and at least 5 years experience in Surveying in a recognized Hydrographic Surveying Services as Asst. Hydrographic Surveyor or equivalent, after obtaining Survey Recorder 1st class of the Indian Navy. ii) Knowledge of Konkani. |
Director | (i) Master’s degree in Physical Education (two years course) with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC’s 7 point scale plus a consistently good academic record; (ii) Record of having represented the University/ College at least at the interUniversity/inter-Collegiate competitions or the State in National championships; (iii) Should have successfully undergone physical fitness test as per norms. |
Librarian | (i) Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information science/documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC seven-point scale plus a consistently good academic record, computerization of library. (ii) Qualifying in the National Level Test (NET) conducted for the purpose by the UGC or State Level Test (SET) accredited by the UGC. Those holding Ph.D. Degree are exempted from NET. Candidates holding a Ph.D. degree and are already in the University system and have obtained Master’s Degree prior to 1991 be given relaxation of 5% from 55% to 50% of marks for appointment to the post of College Librarian. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani. |
Assistant Professor | (i) Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. (ii) National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor: Provided, however, that candidates who are or have been awarded Ph. D. Degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of PhD Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges”. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani. |
