    Great Lakes Institute of Management offers two postgraduate level course in the field of management. Their flagship program is a 1-year full-time residential postgraduate program in Management (PGPM) and the other program offered by them is a 2 year Full Time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM).

    Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM)

    Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) is a one-year postgraduate level program in management. The course is open to working professions with at least two years of full-time work experience. It is designed in a manner to help transform high potential professionals into competent business managers and decision makers.  

    Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

    Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) offered at Great Lakes Chennai is a two year fully residential management program. The course is open to college graduates with no or less than two years of full-time work experience. It is an AICTE approved program. The course is aimed at helping the students develop into industry-ready managers, capable of responding to complex business requirements that arise in a changing global business environment.

    One Year PGPM: Eligibility Criteria

    • Candidates aspiring to secure admission in One-Year PGPM Program at Great Lakes Institute of Management need to first apply and appear for CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT (taken after January 2016) to be eligible for participation in the admission process at the institute.
    • Candidates must also have a bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
    • Work experience of a minimum of 2 years by March 31, 2019 is mandatory for candidates to be eligible for admission. Candidates with less than 24 months of work experience by March 31, 2019 will not be eligible for admission to the 1-year PGPM program.
    • Aspirants need to submit the completed application for Admission latest by November 30, 2018.

    Two Years PGDM: Admission Eligibility

    • Candidates aspiring to secure admission in Two-Year PGDM Program at Great Lakes Institute of Management must have successfully completed their Bachelor's Degree (in any disciple) from a recognised university.
    • Candidates appearing for their final year examination of bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination are also eligible to apply. Such candidates are required to submit their final year bachelor's degree certificate/mark sheet on or before June 30, 2019.
    • Only candidates with less than 24 months of experience after graduation (as on 30th June 2019) are eligible to apply for the 2-year PGDM program. Candidates with more than 24 months of experience need to apply for the Great Lakes 1-year PGPM program.  (Work Experience doesn't include internships or part time work experience. Only full time work experience will be taken into account)
    • Candidates also need to apply and appear for the CAT /XAT/CMAT/GMAT entrance exams to be eligible for participation in the admission process.
    • Application deadline for admission to the PGDM 2019-21 batch is February 25, 2019.

    Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai follows the below mentioned steps for the admission to the various management programs offered by them:

    Step 1: Candidates aspiring to pursue a management course at Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai needs to first meet the eligibility criteria prescribed for the course. The last date to apply for the 1-year PGPM course is January 24, 2019 and for the 2-year 2019-21 PGDM  course is February 25, 2019.

    Step 2: Candidates must  fill and submit the completed application form before the application submission deadline. The application forms are available both in the online and the offline modes. Candidates can obtain the online forms from the official website and the offline forms from the Great Lakes Offices in Chennai.

    Step 3: Candidates aspiring for the PGPM 2019 course at the Great Lakes, need to provide the official email-id of their recommenders. The recommendation letters will be collected in the online mode from the candidates shortlisted for the final admission.

    Step 4: Candidates are shortlisted for the final selection round that is the Personal Interview and Analytical Writing Test on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam. That is candidates who meet the required cut-off percentile in the entrance exams will be called in for the final selection rounds.

    Step 5: Great Lakes Institute of Management makes the admission offers to the students after the successful completion of the PI rounds. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes that includes performance in entrance exam, performance in PI round, academics, Quality of Work Experience, Leadership skills among others.

    • Great Lakes Institute of Management only considers the overall score and not the sectional scores of the candidates in the acceptable entrance exams for shortlisting candidates for the final admission selection process.
    • In case more than one exams are taken by the applicant, Great Lakes will short-list the candidates for the interview based on their best available test scores in CAT/XAT/ CMAT/GMAT
