Haryana State Board of Technical Education decided to scrap the system of grace marks and went forth and reduced the pass percentage from 35 to 33 now.
The Haryana State Board of Technical Education stated that there would be no provision of grace marks from the examinations in 2012-2013.
Apparently, a candidate would be declared passed if he obtains a minimum of thirty three per cent marks in each theory paper and forty per cent in each practical examination.
A student would be promoted to next semester or class irrespective of number of times she reappears in different subjects, but she would not be allowed admission in fifth semester if she has not cleared all the sectionals and final theory of exams as well as practical’s of first semester.
Students would not be allowed admission in the sixth semester if they do not clear theory and practical’s of second semester.
Lastly, students who have reappeared in first semester would appear in November/December 2012 examination as per the new syllabus.
