Himachal Pradesh University Admission Notification for PG Degree (MD/MS) Course in Ayurveda 2012-13

The Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) was established on 22 July 1970 by an act of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. It invites application from eligible candidates for selecting students for admission to MD/ MS (Ayurveda).

• Opening date for obtaining Admission Bulletin with Admission Form: 3 July 2012
• Closing date for obtaining Admission Bulletin with Admission Form (by post): 17 July 2012
• Closing date for submission of application form: 3 August 2012 till 5 pm
• Date for Entrance Examination: 2 September 2012

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in Himachal Pradesh University         

Educational Qualification: Candidate should have passed BAMS or its Equivalent degree of 5½   years minimum duration (including Rotatory Internship) from the recognized Institution/ University.

Only such regular Ayurvedic Medical Officers under Group-I will be eligible who have completed 5 years service including adhoc service (of which at least 3 years service in rural areas or two years service in Hard/ Tribal Areas) and should have minimum 8 years of service left for superannuation after completion of Postgraduate Degree in Ayurveda.

Selection Procedure for Admission in Himachal Pradesh University: Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit in the Common Entrance Test to be conducted by the HP University.

How to Apply for Admission in Himachal Pradesh University: Candidates need to obtain/ send complete application form along with DD in the office of Assistant Registrar (Entrance Tests), Room No.10, Ground Floor, Administrative Block, HP University, Shimla-171005.  

Application Form Fee: Rs 2000 by cash (Rs 2100 by post). The fee needs to be paid in the form of cash or through Demand Draft (for candidates obtaining application form by post) drawn in favour of Finance Officer, H.P. University, Shimla-5. The candidate must write “Request for MD/MS (Ayurveda) Prospectus-2012” on the letter with complete mailing address in CAPITAL LETTERS and telephone/ Mobile number.
