The examination season is going on and all of you are hopping from one exam to another to try your luck in different exams. All of you are anxious about your results and some of you are worried about joining formalities (may be). The main thing is that most of you are under stress because of the uncertain stage at which you are standing in your career. From where, either you go ahead in the way of competitive examinations, jobs or else you have to move to something else. Most of you spend sleepless nights thinking about the outcome of the exam you, have just taken or the interview you have just attended or about the exam that you are going to attend.
Banking exams: ways to reduce anxiety
In the research that has been carried out by various psychological agencies over the world, it has been proven time and again that stress and anxiety stand in the way of productivity of a human being. In this context, you require to be relaxed in order to give your best in the examination hall or in the interview room. So, you must do whatever it takes to be at peace, even if your adrenaline secretion is asking you to go otherwise.
Keep a study schedule as per your convenience ready at your place of study
It helps a lot since you can go ahead with the syllabus systematically. You can keep track of your progress. But keep in mind, you are a unique person and set this study routine as per your convenience so that you can actually follow it.
Most of you are burning the midnight oil these days and it is very much necessary at times also. But at the same time, having proper and adequate sleep is also necessary to keep your mind fresh and active. Only studying will not do, you need to retain the facts. A perfect and adequate sleep only can help you retain more.
Reduce caffeine intake
The inseparable companion during your preparation days is the mug of coffee. But the truth is that it actually increases the rush of adrenaline. It results in higher anxiety level. So, check on that habit of yours and start reducing the number of times you refill that coffee mug.
Syllabus is huge and time is less. Well, this is the case with each and every exam starting from our school days. Later, during college, it increased further and in the sea like syllabus of competitive examinations, it is all the more true. However, do not forget to take off at times. Even your mind is not a machine and it has limited capacity. Like your mobile phone, you need to recharge it time and again. A power nap or going out with friends helps a lot in this regard.
They say whether you are thinking you can or you can’t, you are right. This is true for exams as well. You need to be positive regarding the outcome of the examinations because you have given your best. Ensure to give 100% from your side and the rest will be, rest assured, history.
Keep everything ready and handy on the exam day
Only preparing for the exam is not enough. You have to get all your documents in place and reach the exam centre on time as well. For this to happen, keep all the important things together and ready well in advance. This way, you can leave for the exam or interview venue without much tension regarding the documents you are required to take and the ones you are actually taking with you.
Try to locate the venue beforehand
This is very helpful since reaching the venue on time requires a lot of effort at times, especially when the exam centres are far away from the main city. In that case, most of you face a lot of difficulty reaching the centre on time. It is in your own interest that you go to the venue once before the actual exam day to be familiar with the place and also the mode of transport that is available for the place from your place of journey.
De-stressing is important and necessary to perform well in the examination. Just think of the examination as a challenge and do not think of failure too much. Stay positive and give your best. The result will take care of itself.
All the best!!
