IGNOU Courses in collaboration with SSCI

Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi is offering 3 courses in collaboration with Security Skills Council of India (SSCI), New Delhi, a pioneer in Design, Development, and Delivery of Security and Fire Safety Courses. The courses are- PG Diploma in Fire Safety and Disaster Management, PG Diploma in Security Operations, PG Certificate in Security Operations. The programme will commence in July session. The candidates enrolled will be benefitted with stipend and hundred percent placements assurance.

Name of the Course

1.    PG Diploma in Security Operations (1 year)
2.    PG Certificate in Security Operations (6 months)
3.    PG Diploma in Fire, Safety, and Disaster Management (1 year)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: The candidate should be a graduate in any stream with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.

Age: Between 21 and 35 years (as on 1 July, 2011). For PG Certificate in Security Operations, there is no limitation on the candidate’s age.

Height: 160 cms (for female 150 cms), must be physically and medically fit.

Other: Good communication skills in English and proficiency in computers in essential. Holders of NCC ‘C’ certificate, MBA, and outstanding sports achievers shall be preferred.

Final year students may also apply if they can produce final result of graduate degree before commencement of the course.

For PG Diploma in Fire, Safety, and Disaster Management course, Science and Mathematics at Senior Secondary/ Intermediate level will be preferred.

Selection Procedure

Candidates can get admission to any of the course mentioned above via a three phase selection test.

1.    Written Test (Candidates with CAT/ MAT result will be exempted from written test)
2.    Physical Test
3.    Personal Interview

Obtain prospectus and application form by applying with their latest resume including address with PIN, Contact Number preferably mobile, email ID, two passport size colour photographs and bank draft of Rs 350/- in favour of “Security Skills Council of India Limited” payable at New Delhi to the “Security skills Council India Limited, A-28 & 29, Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-1, New Delhi - 110 020”.

The candidates can also obtain the prospectus and application form in person from SSCI, Corporate Office, New Delhi or from nearest branch offices of SIS.
