Is there any short course in event management?

Question: I am doing BA Hons in Home science. Can I do short course in the field of event management after graduation? Please tell me the names of colleges related to this course.

Answer: Scope of event management is growing continuously, but India still lacks professional courses. Short term cannot provide you with any kind of expertise. If you are ready to do hard work, have patience and above all have creativity along with good communication skills, it is the right profession for you. In addition, you should also have passion for holding events, good skills in organising events and should ‘NOT’ be a 9 to 5 job seeker. Take up a post graduate diploma in event management from a reputed institute to know more about the field and work as a part time management trainee in event management companies. You should also plan to take up MBA by distance learning, so that you are already prepared for an alternate career in future.
