KTET Notification 2024: The Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan has released the notification for the Karela Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) 2024 November cycle.The online registrations for tis exam will commence on 11 November. Candidates aspiring to become teachers in Kerala schools can submit their application forms on or before 20 November 2024.

The RTE Act 2009 directs the State to ensure the quality requirement for recruitment of teachers. The persons recruited as teachers should possess the essential aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at all levels of schooling. K-TET is an examination to assess the quality of teacher candidates for Lower Primary, Upper Primary and High School Classes in Kerala.

 KTET is an eligibility test conducted to determine the standard or appointment as teachers at lower primary, upper primary and high school levels in Kerala. The exam is scheduled to be held on 18 and 19 January 2024 for which the admit cards will be available on 08 January 2025. The exam is divided into four categories as follows:

KTET Exam Date 2024 

The KTET exam will be held on 18 and 19 January, with two shifts each day. The first shift will be from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, and the second shift will be from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

KTET 2024 Eligibility 

KTET I - Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary with at least 45 per cent marks. Two years Trained Teachers’ Certificate (TTC) from a recognised board.

KTET II -  BA/BSc/B.Com from a recognised university and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/Trained Teachers’ Certificate

KTET III 0  BA/BSc/B.Com with at least 45 per cent marks and a B.Ed. Degree in the subject concerned

KTET IV - Required qualifications for the post of Language Teachers of Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit & Urdu (up to Upper Primary level) are eligible to apply. 

KTET 2024: Steps to Apply

The KTET apply online link will be activated on 11 Nov at the official website. Candidates can submit their application forms till 20 Nov. Listed below are the steps to apply for the KTET exam:

Step 1: Go to the KTET website at ktet.kerala.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on "New Registration" and fill out the form with your details.

Step 3: Upload necessary documents like your certificates and ID.

Step 4: Pay the application fee online.

Step 5: Double-check your form for mistakes and submit it.

Step 6: Finally, download and print a copy of your application for your records, which will include your registration ID.
