LIC Notified Recruitment to the Post of Financial Services Executive Eastern Zone, 2013

Life Insurance Corporation of India issued notification for filling up 42 Financial Services Executive vacancies on contract basis for a period of 3 years in its various offices under Eastern Zonal Office, Kolkata, covering states of West Bengal, Assam, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Interested candidates should send their applications in the prescribed format till 23 April 2013.

Age limit (as on last date of receipt of applications):
Minimum: 21 years  
Maximum: 35 years

Upper age limit relax-able up to 38 years for OBC candidates and up to 40 years for SC / ST candidates.

Educational Qualifications: Graduate preferably Bachelors’ Degree / Diploma in Marketing / Management, with knowledge of English and one regional language (local language desirable).
Knowledge of computer – soft skills like power point / Word / Excel would be an added advantage.

Application Fee: Non-refundable application fee of Rs.100 has to be paid through a Demand Draft issued in favour of “Life Insurance Corporation of India” and payable at Kolkata.

Candidates should write their name and date of birth on the reverse of DD.

Selection Process: Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the written test, if held, and Interview.
 
The written test will be of objective type and have questions on Reasoning, Numerical Ability and General Knowledge. Short listed candidates will be intimated about the exact Date and venue of the written examination.

Selected candidates will have to undergo training, pass an exam conducted by IRDA and obtain a license to procure Life Insurance business. After procuring the license, the candidate may be engaged as Financial Services Executive on contract basis, if found suitable, and medically fit. These candidates may be posted anywhere as per the requirement.

How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates should send their applications in the prescribed format along with copies of required certificates and fee DD in original to the concerned ‘Sr. Divisional Manager, LIC of India’ of the respective Zonal office (Complete address to send the applications is mentioned in the table above) so as to reach the concerned office on or before the prescribed last date.

Envelope containing the application should be super-scribed as  “Engagement of Financial Services Executives, ___ Division, Eastern Zone”.

In case, multiple applications are received from a candidate, whether for same or different divisions / zones, the applications received first, as per the records, will be only considered.
