Thapar University is a premier educational and research institute and came in to existence in 1956. The L M Thapar School of Management (LMTSOM) has invited applications to join the MBA program for session 2013-2015.

Important dates

 Eligibility Crietria:

• Admission to MBA will be open to candidate who obtains at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.0 CGPA or an equivalent grade from a recognized university in the qualifying examination.
• BE / B.Tech degree in any discipline or MSc / MA in Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Physics/ Operations Research/ Information Science/ Information Technology or MCA.
• The candidates who are in the final year of their study (qualifying exam) can also apply for any or all the MBA programs. However, such candidates are required to submit proof of passing their qualifying exam on or before 31 July 2013.

• Candidates seeking admission in LM Thapar School of Management (LMTSOM), Thapar University (TU) shall fill up the application form available online on www.thapar.edu. 
• Fill the complete details and you will get a ‘login id’ and ‘password’. Send the application form along with the demand draft of Rs. 1500 /- in favour of Thapar University, Patiala to “In charge Admission Cell’ Thapar University, Patiala (Punjab)-147004. You can pay the required amount online or attach DD.

Selection Process

• On the basis of valid score of CAT/ MAT /CMAT/Online test of Thapar University, the qualified candidates will be called for group discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI) and then on the basis of all the three a Master Merit List (MML) will be prepared.
• The qualifying marks in the online test of Thapar University for general category are 20% and 15% for SC/ST category.
• Admissions under all the categories will be made on this basis of this MML.
