Maharashtra State Board HSC Mathematics Syllabus

Maharashtra State Board of Education has prescribed Mathematics and Statistics Syllabus for Higher Secondary Level i.e. Class 11th and Class 12th. The Mathematics subject can be studied at Higher Secondary level by Arts and Science students. The students studying at Higher Secondary level through Maharashtra Board of Education or will be starting studies can check here all about the Class 11th and Class 12th Mathematics syllabus including examination scheme, paper pattern, marking scheme, topics and chapter-wise marks allotment.

## Examination Scheme of Mathematics & Statistics Subject for Arts and Science Streams –

There will be only one paper for the subject of total 100 marks and the weightage is as given below –

• Theory paper – 80 marks
• Practical/Viva– 20 marks

The questions for HSC Mathematics and Statistics subject are of –

1. Multiple Choice Questions type
2. Very Short Answer Type
3. Short Answer Type I
4. Short Answer Type II
5. Long Answer Type

As per the marking scheme of Maharashtra Board HSC Mathematics Subject, the questions have been allotted marks as under –

• MCQ – 1 mark
• VSA –1 mark
• SA I – 2 marks
• SA II – 3 marks
• LA – 5 marks

## Features of Maharashtra Board HSC Mathematics Syllabus –

1. The Syllabus of Maharashtra Board Class 11th and Class 12th Mathematics and Statistics syllabus has been designed considering the guidelines of Council of Board of School Education (COBSE) to maintain an uniformity in the science stream students who will be appearing for national level entrance exams.

2. The national level entrance exams are based on syllabus prescribed by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), therefore, the HSC Mathematics and Statistics has been designed on the Mathematics curriculum of NCERT.
