Lucknow University has invited applications from various candidates to apply for its MBA Programme for the year 2016. All the interested and eligible candidates can apply through proper channel latest by 20th May, 2016.
The first step to bring the University into being was taken when a General Committee of educationists and persons interested in university education appointed for the purpose, met in conference at Government House, Lucknow, on November, 10, 1919. At this meeting Sir Harcourt Butler, who was in the chair, outlined the proposed scheme for the new university.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission in MBA Programme
Applicants with bachelor's degree (any stream) with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC / ST) are eligible for admission in MBA programme.
Only students, whose examinations have been completed before the counselling date should apply. In case of incomplete UG results provisional admission will be allowed. However final completed result (Mark sheet) will have to be submitted by 16.07.2016.
Selection procedure for Admission in MBA Programme
Eligible Candidates will be shortlisted for personal interview on the basis of score of CAT or score of LUMAT. LUMAT will be conducted on the specified centers on specified dates. Final admission will be made on the basis of combined merit of CAT or LUMAT and Personal Interview.
Merit will be made as follows;
Merit score (CAT or LUMAT) – 70%
Personal Interview – 30%
How to apply for Lucknow University’s MBA Programme
Candidates have to apply on the official website of Lucknow University on or before 20th May 2016 and need to pay application form fee for General / OBC category candidates Rs. 1500/- and Rs. 1000/- for SC / ST category candidates (inclusive of counselling fees).
After filling the Online Form, you will be prompted to take print-out of the filled-up Application Form. You should take the print-out. If you do not have a printer attached to the computer while filling-up for Online Application you can complete the application process and take the printout of the application form later by entering your Registration number and Password. You are required to send copy of the form with original signature & self attested photograph to the following given below. All the Documents would be required at the time of Written Test & PI (including mark sheet of 10th + 12th + UG in original + a photocopy set + Cast and Income certificate if cast / income benefits are being claimed).

Proposed Examination Centers for LUMAT-2016 (Written Examination) are Lucknow, Bhopal, Varanasi, Noida.Delhi, North East, Patna (Centres could be increased, decreased or changed at the sole discretion of the University without any prior notice).
Seats Availability
University has two Centers of MBA Teaching on its Campus namely Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), Department of Business Administration (DBA) with 120 seats. Total seats available are 540.
