Mumbai University fights with the problem of slow server on online portal of Mumbai University. The departments of university were supposed to feed internal assessment data by November 8 but were unable to do so before the deadline. The University now decided to extend the deadline by another week. However, the circular for uploading the marks online was issued on 30 October 2013.
The complaint of not receiving login ID until 07 November was also noted.
The Principal of Mumbai University said that the Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) technical personnel who manage the portal are inaccessible. The college also got delayed with the process due to Diwali vacation and staff being away.
While, another principal find faultin the MKCL's server being extremely slow and stated that for more than 1000 students scores need to be uploaded, despite officials sitting online the entire working hours the process does not seem very productive due to slow speed of server.
Principal of another college mentioned of not willing to fill internal assessment scores in haste, as it could lead to errors and will reflect on student’s performance and results. She asked for deadlines to be extended to have error-free uploading process.
The controller of examiner, Padma Deshmukh, informed of planning to raise the deadline by a week of which college shall be shortly notified. To address the problems of individual colleges MKCL officialshave been asked to get in touch with to fix their problems.
