National Law University Delhi Admission Notification 2012-2013

National Law University, Delhi was established in 2008 in National Capital Territory of Delhi and with the initiative of High Court of Delhi is in the list of premier law Universities established in India. It has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to its various programmes.

• 5 Year BA, LLB (Hons.): 80 (70 seats on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit)
• LLM: 20 + 5 seats for Foreign Nationals. Foreign Nationals are exempted from Entrance Test
• PhD: not mentioned

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in National Law University Delhi

Educational Qualification

• 5 year BA, LLB (Hons.): Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or equivalent Examination with 50% of marks. The candidates appearing in the 12 standard examination in March/ April, 2012 can also apply
• LLM: LLB or an equivalent Degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability). Final year candidates can also apply
• PhD: LL.M. Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability)

Selection Procedure for Admission in National Law University Delhi: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Test AILET 2012. The other selection procedure includes the following

• 5 year BA, LLB (Hons.): Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Test AILET 2012 for BA LLB (Hons.) Course
• LLM: The admission shall be through a written test to be conducted by the University followed by Interview
• PhD: The admission shall be through a written test to be conducted by the university. The candidates who have qualified for UGC NET / JRF, SLET, and M. Phil. are exempted from taking the admission test. All qualified candidates shall make a presentation before the Doctoral Committee on the proposed topic of research on a date notified by the University.

Examination Centre for Admission in National Law University Delhi: The Entrance Examinations will be held at Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Gawahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna.

Application Fee: Rs 2500 (Rs 1000 for SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates). The fee needs to be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘REGISTRAR, NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI', payable at Delhi along with copies of requisite Caste/PD Certificate.

Students can also apply online and make payment of application fee by depositing Cash at Post Office/Axis Bank or with Credit/Debit Card and Netbanking.
