National Workshop on Design & Development of Digital Library with DSpace

Challenges & Prospects organized by The LNM IIT Jaipur

The Library of The LNM Institute of Information Technology (LNMIIT), Jaipur, organized a Two Day National Workshop on Design & Development of Digital Library with DSpace: Challenges & Prospects, 1st-2nd December 2016. The workshop witnessed the participation from India and abroad. The chief guest for the inaugural session Prof. R L Raina, Vice Chancellor, J K Lakshmipat University, Jaipur talked about the recent advancements in the area of Library information science and brought attention towards predatory publishing. Prof (Dr) S S Gokahle, Director LNMIIT conveyed in his message regarding importance of new age digital space in future library services. Prof. Ravi Gorthi, Dean Academics, LNMIIT, in his message talked about innovative ideas on use of information technology in library services. There were participation from different parts of India including two from Nigeria. During the two day workshop, participants had rigorous hands on practical sessions through blended teaching methodology. The hands on practical sessions were conducted by two experts in the fields of digital library information.
